Our guide Scott who was a wealth of info on SF history. I loved his enthusiasm and would love to take more of his tours! I really liked the way it was spaced with time for walking, Scott’s talking, eating here and there.
Eat off the beaten path

I had signed up for this tour and was contacted the day of to cancel because I was the only attendee. Tom really took the time and effort to make sure I was rebooked and still had a great time on a tour the following day. Scott is a fantastic tour guide who really knows his history about the city. The food tastings were fantastic and plentiful. Definitely a tour to book if you were looking for some culture and to try out great local tastes.
Great tour. Highly recommended.

An informative and food filled tour

Isabella was a good guide very informative and engaging. We got to sample a fair amount of food around China town, but would have been nice to have more input into the choice / flavours that we were receiving. There was more emphasis on China town than north beach. We found it a little odd at the end when we reached our final stop (moana Lisa for pizza) and the guide left us straight away once we were seated. I did expect the guide to stay for the final location and explain the food etc. It left a bit of an odd atmosphere at the end to be honest. Other than that a good tour and well worth the money food-wise!
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Thank you for joining us. While we’re glad that you enjoyed the tour, I apologize about Isabella’s departure at the end of the tour. We’ve discussed with Isabella how to finish the tour in a manner to that will ensure that our guests have an exceptional experience on all parts of the tour, including the last stop. Again, thank for your joining us and your feedback. We really appreciate it.
Enjoyed the tour, did not feel rushed

My family and I enjoyed the tour very much. It's a good way to see and taste the city. Bring comfy shoes and a poncho in case it rains. Doug was our guide and was very knowledgeable. Some tours rush you in and out of places, I did not feel rushed during this tour. Thank you again.

Brian was a fantastic guide, very informative and did everything to make the tour memorable. He found out we were celebrating my daughter's 18th bday and surprised her with a tiramisu cake. You will not go hungry or be bored on this tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Isabella and Andre( who was training). Isabella not only had us taste amazing food; She took us to so many places and told us the history! I feel like I got both a food and history tour. We went to shops in chinatown and I was able to buy fortune cookies and even a bamboo steamer. We got many samples. She is very passionate about her job and knowledgeable! When we sampled the duck there was more than enough for the whole group. We got to go to places and try things that we never would have. She is very comfortable interacting with the Chinese in Chinatown and is very respectful of the culture. We also enjoyed that it was in the evening. She also took us to see a church and theater. This was the best way to end out san francisco trip and the duck was the best we ever had. We would do this tour again.
Fabulous. Fun. Historic. Flavorful. Best tour and guide ever.

Where do I start. The two phrases I would use to describe the tour would be: 1. "far exceeded expectations" and 2. "best tour and guide ever." Brian loves SanFran and it shows in his knowledge of this great city. He is the kind of guy you want to hang out with and just listen to. He brought history and food cultiure to life and introduced us to great local vendors. If you are visiting SanFran start here with Brian for an unforgettable walk and taste-test through Chinatown and Little Italy. Best ever. Thanks Brian and say "hi" to Kevin for us! So loved the tea tasting. The tour was the highlight of my visit to city by the bay!
Great experience, fun walk.
Luisa_M, Mar 2024
Isabella was pretty good, she was really kind, even had some surprises for us during the tour, which I loved it, I live in the bay and it was great to visit places I didn’t know where in the city.
Do this and be forever happy!

This was beyond an amazing tour. Brian is a great and caring tour guide. His knowledge of San Francisco was a genuine joy to hear and coupled with his jokes and personal experience, made the tour one of the highlights of our trip. In terms of the food part of the tour, seriously come hungry. Everything was a joy to eat and YOU EILL WANT TO EAT IT ALL!! I personally bookmarked the places we went to on the tour so we could go back again. This is a must do!!!

Absolutely fabulous food and historical tour of Chinatown and Little Italy. Our guide, Isabelle, was very knowledgeable and engaging with our group. She presented facts and recommendations about the local cuisine. The food we ate was fabulous and I was full after the tour. It's about 4 hours of walking around the neighborhoods so good shoes are recommended. Overall, 5 stars and I was extremely satisfied.
Ask for Brian - highly recommend!!
Richard_B, Jan 2024
Highly recommend this tour. Brian was very friendly, knowledgeable and corny in just the right way. He added extra stops and went an hour over for those who had the time. It was really an extraordinary tour.
Wonderful and engaging
Sarah_S, Jan 2024
Brian was a fantastic guide and clearly has a beloved reputation in the community. A wonderful balance of history, food, and humor and huge variety of tastings and information.. there are so many options in the area and this tour felt like we were able to get a great idea of these communities in just a matter of hours. I would recommend this to anyone!
