Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum is the largest and most visited art museum in the Netherlands. Its collection, which ranks among the world’s finest, includes nearly 8,000 pieces spread over 80 galleries. Some of the Rijksmuseum’s most revered works are 15th- to 19th-century paintings by Flemish and Dutch masters, including Vincent Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Vermeer. In addition to the astounding eight centuries of Dutch art and history, the museum has extensive outdoor gardens and an acclaimed restaurant, Rijks.
We had an lovely time on our guided tour through the Rijksmuseum with Janet. She was incredibly knowledgeable and sweet and made the experience very enjoyable. We got to learn so much about the art and cultural history of Amsterdam and the Netherlands. Highly recommend!
We toured the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam with our guide Janet. She was awesome!!! Very knowledgeable and very personable!!! She showed us the highlights of the museum which was great since it began to get very crowded. We were a group of 8 so it was easy to hear her and enjoy what we were seeing. I recommend this type of tour unless you want to stay there all day.
The guide we had put the history of the Rijksmuseum in the context of the history of Amsterdam and the Netherlands. She was very knowledgeable about the artists featured at the museum like Rembrandt and Vermeer and their paintings. Highly educational and fascinating.
Great tour for a quick overview of the best pieces in the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh! Eduardo was great! Made sure we saw all the highlights and everyone enjoyed the trip! Great way to see the highlights.
Timm, our guide, was very knowledgable and her great inter personal skills made this tour fantastic! I'd recommend everyone who is going to Amsterdam for the first time should take this tour with Timm!
Is a big museum, but well worth the time, 3 to 4 hours. Then, I took the 1 hour canal cruise, it was a different experience that provides more information about Amsterdam.
Great museum- great experience- we enjoyed the museum. It’s so large plan to spend several hours. We also had coffee in the Cafe which was a nice break.
Monique from Babylon Tours was incredible for our semi-private tour of Riksmuseum (sp?). She was very professional, vivacious, and awesome. Can wait for an do-over at Van Gogh museium
Clare was a terrific guide. She knew what we all wanted to see and how to weave the history of Amsterdam into why we were enjoying this part of the Rijksmuseum. She is very knowledgeable. The small group of 8 was perfect for us. She is an excellent guide.
Very good experience with the guide. We were 4 minutes late trying to reach us and wait for us. Overall everything was good will start booking again in my next travel.
Cecelia was an excellent guide and very informative. We would definitely book this tour again. The tour operator provided detailed emails to us re the tour from the time we booked up until the tour. This was very appreciative.
