Well worth your time while in Amsterdam!
lindamarco, May 2024
James took us to the important, yet relatively unnoticed sights, and filled us with information about Dutch involvement with these significant events in World history. Poignant, educative, and soul-stirring, this tour was a wonderful recap of unknown history.
James Samuels is one of the best!!
Michael_M, May 2024
We did this tour last week with James Samuels as our guide. He was, without a doubt, one of the best guides we have ever had!! We do numerous tours through Viator on every vacation and he was incredible! Every aspect of the tour was wonderful from the information he provided to the fact he made eye contact with every guest to make sure you felt included and important. The biggest thing that stuck out to all of us (there were only eight of us in the tour) was how respectful he was of the subject matter and how it wasn't just a tour to him; he wanted us to really grasp the enormity of the situation. I will be spreading the word about him to everyone I know that goes to Amsterdam. Thank you so much James!!

Tour was not as expected. Tour started and ended a good half hour walk from Anne Frank house. That’s as close as we came. Lots of good information about the holocaust but not much on Anne Frank. May have to do with our tour guide.
Great tour where you will really learn something

We thought there would be more info on Anne frank .location around the Anne frank home the guide was very good
Informative but disappointing
Randal_T, Apr 2024
Aaron was very knowledgeable and helped us better understand the history of life in the Jewish quarter in Amsterdam during the time of the holocaust. That part of the tour was very positive. Negative parts included the fact that we had reserved tickets for the Anne Frank house tour originally with Viator 2 months earlier, but they cancelled those tickets the week before our trip. They offered this tour as a replacement, but despite the name of the tour, we didn’t even get close to the Anne Frank house. Very misleading and disappointing. In addition, the tour guide used coarse language throughout the tour, which was distracting and unprofessional.
Excellent Walking Tour in the Jewish Quarters
Magdalena_K, Apr 2024
The Anne Frank and Jewish quarter Walking Tour exceeded your expectations by far! Andrea, our tour guide, did an excellent job in bringing to life the stories of the people who lived in these quarters. The arrangement was quite flexible, and we were able to ask our questions as the came up along the way. Andrea had a lot of background knowledge of this part of our history, and when walking around in this beautiful neighbourhood the horrors of World War 2 became very real. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in history and in the human mind!
Excellent walking tour

Absolutely fascinating tour with an extremely knowledgeable guide James. Can highly recommend this guide. One of the best tours we have ever done. Expert knowledge on the very sad history of the Jews in Amsterdam during the second world war.

I didn't realize I had both a walking tour instead of an actual trip into the Anne Frank home when I had called the receptionist to see if we could change this he said that you guys did off that but it wouldn't matter anyways because we were within the 24-hour window which I told him that we were disabled and couldn't walk. Therefore I was hoping that we can at least get a different day because at that point it was too late if somebody could respond to me I would appreciate it
Outstanding tour
