What To Expect

This experience near the Boboli Gardens is tailored for small groups of ten or fewer people, providing an intimate cooking class under the supervision of a professional chef.

You have the convenient option of choosing between lunch or dinner time classes, making it easy to fit into your schedule. With flour substitutes, prepare gluten-free versions of classic Tuscan dishes such as pizza, tagliatelle, ravioli, gnocchi, and tiramisu.

After the cooking is done, sit down to enjoy your meal with wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Later, you can access your favorite recipes using an online cookbook and recreate your gluten-free meal.

    Chef Vary was incredible. The pasta we made was easily the best pasta we had during our trip to Italy. She taught us authentic techniques, it was easy to pick up and very hands-on. She was very personable and made us feel right at home! She is truly a pro and knows how to make you feel like you are invincible and can literally make anything in the kitchen. She is very outgoing and even offered to help us with some of our Chianti tours that were cancelled last minute! As someone who is celiac it’s hard to find classes like these and this was truly one of a kind. It was the highlight of our trip and I cannot recommend this experience enough. Chef Vary is truly amazing.

    The host Valle (mi dispiace se nome non giusto) was wonderful, expert in her craft, very kind to her guests, especially my 14 yr old daughter. The dishes were absolutely amazing and you would never guess they were gluten free. Ravioli with figs was my favorite. Grazie Mille for making our vacation special!

    Incredible experience! We made three types of gluten free pasta with the freshest ingredients. It was absolutely delicious, and Chef Vary was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and a great teacher!! The kitchen was very clean and perfectly safe for celiacs. I would absolutely do it again!!

    Chef Vary is incredible! The class was so fun and she provided clear instructions that made making fresh gluten free pasta seem simple! Chef also is incredibly careful about cross-contamination. Everything was cleaned and only gluten free tools were used. Even better, the food was incredible! We can’t wait to make the recipes at home. Highly recommend for any celiacs or anyone simply wanting to learn to make incredible pasta!

    Chef Vary is absolutely amazing. This experience for our family of 10 was nothing short of perfection and exceeded anything we could have wished for. The dishes we made were out of this world and we will never forget it. If we are ever lucky enough to go back to Florence we would sign up for this class with different dishes in a heart beat.     We had a private Gluten free cooking class with Chef Vary. We made fresh pasta (fettucine and mushroom ravioli) as well as Ricotta Gnocchi. Chef Vary was engaging and made the class lots of fun for my husband and myself. She took every precaution to have a safe gluten free cooking environment. Best of all, the pastas tasted amazing. My husband, who is not Celiac enjoyed them too! Chef was supposed to send the recipes to me as well, but I havent received them yet.

    An absolutely WONDERFUL experience!! We are a foodie family with lots of discerning palates and we absolutely LOVED making and especially eating this food. Chef Vary taught us so much and we put together 3 different pasta dishes that were fabulous. I highly recommend this experience!!! Our two daughters (18,21) can’t wait to try some of the recipes in college. Thank you!!!

    Chef Vary was an excellent teacher! My mom and I had a lot of fun. Chef Vary made sure she asked our likes and dislikes before determining what to make. We made a black pepper spaghetti with an artichoke, pancetta, and olive oil sauce and a Parmesan and truffle ravioli. Both were amazing! It is so interesting how two little cups of gf flour can make so much food! Be prepared to work because pasta making isn’t easy, but it is so worth it! Having zero cooking ability, Chef Vary was very patient and encouraging. We couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend this cooking class.
