Half-Day Uffizi and Accademia Small-Group Guided Tour
    Seetharam_M, Oct 2023
Excellent tour guide. Had lot of dedication and passion in explaining in depth of the artefacts. Could give more time for the guided tour considering the vast area that was to be covered. Good value for money.
    Response from Host, Oct 2023

It's fantastic to hear that the tour guide displayed dedication and passion while explaining the artifacts in depth. When exploring such vast and culturally rich places, more time can indeed enhance the experience, allowing for a deeper exploration. Disappointed

The booking information led me to believe that the tour included visiting both places, one right after the other. It said the duration of the tour was three hours. When we checked in, we were told that the first tour would last from 11:00-1:00 and the second tour would last for one hour beginning at 2:00. It worked out fine, but was not what we were expecting. Our guide at the Uffizi spent too much time on certain pieces of art, making us feel like we were missing out on seeing most everything else. It was hard to understand him. We enjoyed the guide at the Academia. She gave us time to see all of the exhibits.
Great tour. Bad customer service for in-store staff.
    Laura_L, Aug 2023
The local company running the tour was unfriendly and seemed annoyed to talk to us at check in. After waiting at their store, walking several blocks to Uffizi, only then did we put our headphones on to realize that several of them did not work. So then we waited in the heat for staff to go back and get functioning headphones. If they hadn’t been so unhappy to talk to their customers at the check in, they could have handed out headphones and done a test. Our guide was very good. Extremely knowledgeable.
    Not enough time
    LaDonna_D, Jul 2023
Our guide was amazing. But we could not make the second tour as the first was still finishing. Part of the tour is just getting to and in the museum which are up some of our time. If there is a longer tour, take that one.
    The guide was knowledge...
    Ronald_T, Apr 2023
The guide was knowledge but her accent jade it very difficult to understand. It also was not made clear that this was 2 separate tours and not 1 combined tour. This was very confusing.
Good tour if you’re in a time crunch.

The Accademia tour with Julia was fantastic. Julia was hands down the best tour guide we’ve had during our trip to Rome & Florence (we toured all the major places of interests). She was super articulate, caring and a great storyteller. We got a different guide for the following Uffizi tour, Phillip. He was a fine guy. Not as exciting as Julia but did a good job.
    Uffizi YES, Academia SO SO
    Kelly_S, Feb 2023
The Uffizi part of this your was wonderful, the Academia part lacked a bit. I would definitely recommend booking an Uffizi tour, academia perhaps no.
    Half Day Uffizi/Accademia tour
    Amy_B, Oct 2022
We went to the original spot according to the directions to begin the Uffizi tour. When we arrived, we were sent to another location for the second half of the tour. At the second location, we waited a while before employees showed up or acknowledged the large group waiting. After a very short tour, we were told that the next part of our tour would begin in 2 hours at the original location. It seemed disorganized. Manuela was helpful and kind. Our male tour guide at the Uffizi was very knowledgeable.
    Another amazing...

Another amazing experience! Tour guide was fantastic . So much knowledge and really fun and funny. So much history which was amazing
    Incedible tour!
    Colleen_L, Jul 2022
What an incredible tour! Half a day is a lot of information to take in but Rosa did such a fantastic job holding our attention and exceeding our expectations with in depth education at Uffizi and Accademia. We learned a ton and would love to have her again as a guide!
Great tours - but company needs to provide accurate end time for planning
    Audrey_G, Jul 2022
*The only reason this tour was not given a 5 star rating is because the tour end time was incorrect. We missed our next tour due to incorrect information. While we understand that tour timing is approximately, the description showed that the entire tour would be done at 2pm, but then found out that the Accademia tour was not even scheduled to start until 2:15. The company needs to update their information. The Uffizi and Accademia tours themselves were wonderful. To see the works of art was truly breathtaking. Seeing David was magnificent, and our guide shared information that we never knew before this day.
    Excellent tour of Uffizi!

Rachel was an amazing guide to the Uffizi Gallary! She is an Art Historian at a university in Florence and we felt so lucky to have such a passionate guide. She brought the art to life with colorful stories and background behind the artist and commissioner. Uffizi is one of the most important and largest renaissance art collections in the world, so it would be overwhelming without a guide. Very happy we did this!
Misleading information, not worth the expense
    Deborah_S, Jun 2022
First, our tour guides were knowledgeable and neither of them was responsible for the following comments. Because we booked a tour for Uffizi, we showed up at the entrance door. Actually, the meeting point was at the Viator office which was not made clear in the details. I had to walk quickly 0.4 miles to the Uffizi while listening to the general history of Florence. I"m a senior citizen and could barely keep up with the small group of much younger members. My friend waited at the gate. Once there, we stood in line for almost an hour, making small talk. We didn't see a piece of art for one hour and twenty minutes. When I asked a tour company employee why we had to waste time walking from the office to the Uffizi, I got a flimsy answer that it was easier to assemble the group if we met at their office. On my trip through three counties, and touring sights booked through Viator, we had no trouble meeting with our groups at the actual venue, or at a place of business close to the venue. The actual tour lasted only a little over an hour. We breezed through several rooms while getting an explanation on only one or two works. I had barely enough time to walk to the Academia to get to the second part of the tour. Fortunately, the meeting place, another tour company office was close to the venue, and we were able to skip the line when our excellent tour guide showed her badge to the people at the gate. The cost was outrageous for what we experienced. My senior citizen traveling partner got to see part of the Uffizi tour and was unable to make the Academia tour. Next time, I'll book a "skip the line" only ticket and purchase an audio tour. Much better use of time and money.

Sylvia, our guide, was so knowledgeable on history, art, and art history. She really schooled us! Lovely person too:)
    Expert guide and excellent tour!
    Vidur_A, May 2022
Excellent tour showing the highlights of the two key museums of Florence. As promised, we skipped all lined and went straight in. Our expert guide (Alessandra) made it a memorable and engaging experience. She made sure to dedicate time to the key highlights and answer all our questions. She was very knowledgeable and also help us connect the dots to our other experiences with Renaissance arts. Thanks a lot!
good tour, but sudden changes/ inconsistency
    Annie_K, Aug 2021
The tours itself and tour guides were good. However, we specifically booked this tour for 11 am and to have both tours right in a row. When we got to the tour company, they said that wasn’t possible and our tour for uffizi was at 1 and academia at 4. We built our day around the itinerary provided by the company, so having the times and length change so drastically really altered our plans for the day. As mentioned above, tour guides and tours themself were very good. However, since we booked ahead specifically so we could avoid waiting and inconsistency, it was frustrating to have the plans change so dramatically due to lack of communication between the companies.
