What To Expect

Await pickup from your Krakow hotel from 9:45am, when you’ll board an air-conditioned vehicle destined for the Wieliczka Salt Mine. During the 30-minute drive to the UNESCO World Heritage site, your guide reveals the history of the 700-year-old mine.

Then, on arrival, you’ll descend 360 steps to the subterranean wonderland, comprised of labyrinthine passages and chambers home to chapels, museums, and underground rivers.

Spend 2.5 hours exploring the mine before returning to land for the transfer back to your Krakow hotel.

This is a must see and do tour. Our guide was brilliant - very knowledgeable and funny. The time went really quickly and I would go back again if I ever get the chance. This is a fantastic trip and our guide was great and very witty. The Chapel is beautiful and worth the 800 steps to get to it. May not be suitable for those with walking difficulties or young children although there is a lift which is used for weddings and it would be worth asking about this as it is a trip not to be missed.
