The worst

Terrible! Guide was almost 1 hour late even after we called 3 times plus texted twice. He didn’t know anything and his dates we all confusing and contradictory. He insisted on taking photos of us with his camera but never asked for our contact info to send the photos to us. The worst Viator tour that I have ever had!

A lovely time with Lucimer

Me and my partner Damian went on a walking tour with Lucimer today - we were the only two on the tour which I thought was quite cool. Lucimer brought us around all the best spots of the city and was very focused on our safety, which included ensuring that we kept our phones tucked out of sight at all times by bringing with him a professional camera and taking all our souvenir photos throughout the tour. If you are camera shy you may not enjoy it, but if you want value for money then it’s great as you get a history tour and a professional photoshoot at the same time! The tour was super full and covered many different sights including a nice stop off in a famous cafe / ice cream parlour Colombo so you can get a coffee / sorbet. We also went to Lucimers favourite street food cart with him after and had a beer which was super nice.

Poorly organized tour with abrasive tour guide

The tour guide was a little late to the meeting point due to the carnival parades. However, he was aware but did not inform the customers prior that a lot of the historic locations will be closed. He was quite abrasive in his mannerism and communications with the tour group throughout the trip. Moreover, when the three hour mark passed for the tour, and we asked politely what other things we will be seeing as we had other plans after, his response was “you are not my prisoners.” He was making a big fuss over everyone paying an extra R$ 10 “exact” change to buy a tram pass - and also did not tell people in advance to bring it with them - and for some reason did not let us use the credit card machine. All in a bizarre tour that did not cover a lot of the historic sites, with an ill-mannered tour guide who was not accurate in some of the historical facts he shared. He could have also toned down on antics such as showing the taser he carried with him and the elaborate details of the crime activities in Rio during the carnival. :(

I came late 2 minutes late not more. And I stood for more than 30 minutes in the end of that, when you had gone runing to sugar Loaf, because I did not organized your trip. I have a very organized tour, reviewed like excelente for more than 99% of my clientes. it is the result of a very hard and serious work. Suddenly a person , comes telling lies, like i charge her extra money for that tour and other bad things that I don't have to enumerate... Just read the other reviews, and you can see who is the bad . if you wanna a proof of a perfet tour come to my tour on a normal day , with time. And don't reffers to me not with suspecious questions like you did all the time. I dont love you, but I will send your freely photos that i promised.

We don’t really want to remember it ! The guide was pretty awful, not having much to say of where we were going, insisting on taking a ridiculous amount of photos which he has never shared with us, showing us his taser (supposedly for security ) and making inappropriate comments to another guest.

I don't really want to remenber either a person that use to stay more than 20 meters away from me when is supposed to have a possible conversation. While I am speaking you were talking with some one else About the PHOTOS I share them. And were 52 I want you please to remember that other tourist, American psquiatrist in the same tour, stayed until the end and review me with 5 star +++. And I have to honor the others that go on giving me good reviews because my performance. Please be rasonable And try to understand I am not the handsome Man you would like me to be But I am a Tour Guide. Not a model. About the taser, I keep on using it It is Legal and please have in mind the two videos I sent you on WhatsApp of that boy that did not have a taser And nor a guide like me as his defender Took by a living street mad women drugged He and was tabbed at about the same moment you were leaviyng my tour! am very sorry if I disappoint you But for while, I have to go on trying To please most of the tourists that come on me, and after making a tour most of them use to say: You made an excelent work through the reviews I often receive from them. I had a taser as a wearppon. And you told me. your three kids, are jujitsu players instead of. Congratulation ... the other tourists are not as lucky as you! Have in mind if a hit some one with a taser my consequences are less than what have in consequence one of your kids Because I'm Brazilian, a Senior 69 years old, and an honorable past.

Lucimer is, without a doubt, the most exceptional guide in Rio! His knowledge of the city is unparalleled, and his enthusiasm & love for it are contagious. He is also a gifted photographer who captures the most picturesque scenes. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe throughout the city with Lucimer. I could not recommend this tour with him more highly!

Where do I start. From beginning to end the tour by Lucemir was amazing. He definitely went above and beyond. Lucemir was professional, friendly caring and extremely knowledgeable. In addition to the tour he captured a lot of photos - and ensured that I did not have to take my phone out, as saftey was paramount for him. A very kind and genuine person. Great Into to City Center

I flew into Rio in the am and did this walking tour in the afternoon. I had a traffic delay, and Lucemir was very understanding and waited for me. It is an aggressive and vigorous walking tour and hits many sites, some you would not see is a larger tour such the Real Cabinete Portuguez Leitura (aka, "Harry Potter" Library). It is an immersion to Rio with tasting street food and taking the tram. A major highlight is that Lucemir took the photos (90) of the sites and of me and sent them to me at the end of the tour. He also lists the places visited and sends youtube videos of some of the places. A super friendly guide, and I had a blast! Tip: bring small bills of local currency.

A tour with a friend

Lucemir is a wonderful guide with great knowledge about the city, history and people of Rio. We felt like we he had a tour with a friend and not someone we met that day for the first time. We're a family of 4 with 2 kids (2 and 9) and we felt safe and relaxed during the whole tour. Not because Rio is a safe place (it is not) but because we had Lucemir with us making sure nothing bad happens. And we have more than a hundred photos! All in all, we had a blast and can recommend Lucemir to everyone.. Thank you Lucemir for a wonderful time!

I had a great time with Lucemir’s tour in Rio. I don’t think I would have accomplished the things we did by myself. His experience of Rio made everything run smoothly. With him, I felt safe and entertained. He took the pics for me, so I barely had to take my phone out or worry about that. He even offered to carry my bag and water so he could take my pics smoothly. We went to many places all over Rio and had many experiences that would always make me remember Rio. I think he is a great tour guide and would recommend him. Thanks Lucemir!

Best tour ever

This was the best tour we’ve ever enjoyed. Our guide Lucemir took us all over Rio showing us amazing sights and telling us the story behind what we were visiting. But the best part was he took outstanding pictures of my wife and I sent them to us the next day. Our only disappointment was we just had one afternoon with Lucemir. We flew home the next day but home to be back soon.

Disappointing

I was trying to contact the tour guide all day to confirm the time of the tour, as it was not clear on the ticket or website if it left at 3 or 4, but he never replied. I tried calling, SMS and Whatsapping the number stated on the ticket all day but to no avail. As I was not sure what time the tour began, I was late to the starting point and missed the entire tour. The tour guide reached out the next morning, but it was far too late by then. I was in Rio for a limited time only, and this tour, unfortunately, turned out to be a waste of time and money.

Great value for the money! Lucemie was very knowledgeable about the history of Rio. There were chances to take photos along the way. Also, stopped in some unique places like restaurants and cafes with nice architecture. I would highly recommend!
