Venture away from the hustle and bustle of Rio de Janeiro and explore the wild region of Barra de Guaratiba. Embark on a hike to Pedra do Telegrafo for beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and Rio in the distance before exploring a handful of rugged beaches for a bit of relaxing. This small-group excursion is suitable for most travelers and is limited to eight for a more personalized experience.

  • Bring a a bagpack, light clothes, windbreaker / rainjacket, 1L of water, snacks, sunglasses, bug repellent, sunblock, plastic bag for garbage, a swimsuit and a towell, extra money and your camera!
  • No sandals; sport or hiking shoes only
  • Itaway Ecotours shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, incident, sickness, or injury. It is advisable that the traveler should avail of travel insurance as there can be chances of potential risks and hazards. Also, by booking this tour the traveler declares that him/her and/or his/her group is/are mentally and physically able to participate. No refund is applicable after starting the tour.

  • Refunds will not be issued if tour/activity is missed due to your late arrival (5 min. of tolerance)

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Our guide Henrique was the best. He let us rest during the steep hike and always helping me and my wife go up thru difficult steps. He even pick up trash along the way down. It was unsightly considering we are on a nature trail. He always offered to take pictures when the view is spectacular. As I requested he brought us to a beach where there’s restaurants and toilets. The view from the top of the climb was breathtaking. Worth the hard climb up. The beach was nice too and mostly local residents are here which we like. Highly recommended tour

Our guide Henrique was the best. He let us rest during the steep hike and always helping me and my wife go up thru difficult steps. He even pick up trash along the way down. It was unsightly considering we are on a nature trail. He always offered to take pictures when the view is spectacular. As I requested he brought us to a beach where there’s restaurants and toilets. The view from the top of the climb was breathtaking. Worth the hard climb up. The beach was nice too and mostly local residents are here which we like. Highly recommended tour

Pedro was an absolutely amazing guide!! He was kind, knowledgeable, and even carried our water bottles for us. The view was absolutely amazing and he took about a million pictures for us every way we wanted with zero complaints. He gave us a ton of time at the top and told us to not feel rushed and that we could leave whenever we wanted. He also showed us this very nice beach and helped us in the waves. The only thing I would say is that you should be prepared to sprint up this mountain. We moved at a very fast pace to get up to the top and my friends and I struggled a bit but he would wait for us. I would highly recommend this tour!!

Our tour guide RAFAEL - was absolutely fantastic! He combined extensive knowledge with a passion for storytelling, making the entire experience both informative and engaging. His friendly and approachable nature made us feel comfortable asking questions, and their enthusiasm was contagious. Bernardo our guide was amazing! But this hike is not for the weak it is their intermediate or higher level hike it’s not really for beginners! The view is amazing the pictures speaks for themselves. There is a professional cameraman at the top of the rock. Make sure you bring Brazilian money because he don't like other countries money (the cameraman)!

I had a beautiful experience… a walk hike that was level five and I met the challenge. To reach the rock and to take that famous photo was the highlight of Brazil. Our guide the tour company the accommodations and the personal attention they gave that we had the best experience I say A+.

Bernardo was the best tour guide !! Even though I didn't think I could do it at first he kept encouraging me he didn't rush me. It was all worth it the view was breathtaking. Im so happy I did it 😁😁😁

Great but experienced some mechanical issues with the transportation

Our guide was great. He was attentive to our needs, especially my spouse's needed to rest while trekking the 40 minute hike. Because of the mechanical issues encountered with the transportation, we were not able to experience the latter half of the tour which was supposed to include the visit to the wild beaches.
