Cruising the canals of Amsterdam is a must for first-time visitors to the city. This family-friendly cruise provides a personalized experience with a small boat and a maximum of 20 passengers on-board. Hop aboard your boat near Rijksmuseum or Amsterdam's Central Station and head out for a cruise of the Amsterdam canals. Sip on Heineken beer or wine and sample typical Dutch snacks as your captain leads you through the city’s famous canals.
Listen to commentary and improve your knowledge of the city as you pass by iconic monuments such as the Anne Frank House and the Jordaan neighborhood, and alongside the houseboat museum in the Prinsengracht, one of the city's three main canals. Continue past the cute shops at 9 Little Streets (Negen Straatjes) and busy Leiden Square and cruise past some of the city's more unusual attractions.
After your 1.5 hour tour, head back to your departure point with an increased knowledge of Amsterdam’s history and geography.

- Beware all my boats are open. So when it rains, you can get wet. But rebooking with rain is always possible
- I always try to give the best tour possible (5*). But in rare occasion things don't go as you and me would like. Please let me know asap. Aither direct or send me an email of text. I will contact you.
- The tour is a historical canal cruise, it is not a booze cruise. So if you are looking for a bachelor party boat or any other booze cruise, this is not the cruise for you.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Disappointing experience on this canal cruise. Our captain (not Jack) was hard to hear and didn’t provide great or interesting information. The boat is not covered and it had rained on/off all day, so the seats and blankets were wet. It was unusually cold and even colder during the cruise. It rained (again) and the cheese got wet and it rained in my drink. Yes, you are told up front the boat is not covered and we took the risk - it did not pay off and I wouldn’t take the risk again with so many other great options available that have covered boats. It was definitely not worth it.

Was pouring rain and sleeting and the captain refused to refund my money. I told him we would not be going even though we went down to the area to find the boat. This particular boat was recommended by a friend that’s why I booked with captain Jack. Very disappointed he wouldn’t cancel and refund my money. Will book elsewhere the next trip

We had such a good time on our Captain Jack tour on 4/19. It was a bit rainy so we had to have the cover on he boat but Captain Onno provided plenty of fun history and made the trip truly special! I would highly recommend to any friends traveling to Amsterdam. Captain Onno was the best!

Unfortunately it was raining and in spite of the captains efforts to share information, he was very gracious and informative, other guests on the tour were loud so you could hear what was being said. Also, because the plastics wind shields were down you could take pictures NONE! The trip should have been cancelled or the captain should have been given a boat with glass windows. Total waste of time and money.

A truly wonderful excursion. The canals are simply gorgeous. Our boat captain couldn’t have been more personable, informative, friendly, and helpful. The food and drinks onboard are a real treat. Most importantly we noticed the openness of Captain Jack boat gave us a better view than some of the closed in boats of others.
