An absolutely amazing morning aboard with captain Dave, a stunning 1928 boat that has been immaculately renovated. Seeing Amsterdam wake up on the 8am trip was the highlight of our weekend. Dave gave us a real education about everything to do with the city from its historical past to its vibrant present. He has suck knowledge and we had brilliant personal interactions with him. Highly recommend this tour. Myself and my brother had a wonderful time with him. A truly great start to any day in Amsterdam. Thank you so much Dave. 🙏

I booked this boat tour for my Mum & I last week. It was one of the highlights for both us by far! It surpassed my high expectations. It’s so tranquil at that time, and with such a small group on board, you feel like the canals are all yours to explore. Ample opportunities to take great pics, juice/hot drinks & sugar bread thoughtfully provided, and the boat is covered so it doesn’t matter if it rains. Captain Dave was a wonderful and warm host. It was such a joy to be shown around by a local, who knew a lot of the history. I’m so glad I booked this over boat tour options. It clearly looked better than more crowded and less intimate tours. I’ve gone on many boat tours in my life in different countries. This is one of the best I’ve been on. I highly recommend it to everyone! Book it, you won’t regret it!

The captain of the boat was really -really-and I mean really good. Full of local facts and information and delivered in a most entertaining and enjoyable manor! The boat itself is an amazing collectible classic that could be in a museum, and it has history. Highly recommend this tour

Perfect canal tour

We loved our early morning canal ride. Captain Dave kept in contact and his boat arrived right on time. Our captain was Captain Tony and he was as friendly as he was informative. Our little continental breakfast of coffee, juice and sweetbread was the perfect way to start the morning. And, the ship itself was beautiful!!!

Worth it, even for a tight layover!

Captain Dave was amazing and the overall experience was great! As soon as I pulled up in a taxi I explained I had a very tight layover timeframe. He immediately worked out a pickup time with the taxi driver to let him know a more opportune place to pick me up for getting me back to airport asap. Captain Dave shared lots of history as well as shared interesting facts and current happenings. He was very thoughtful and accommodating. For anyone wondering, there boat can be fully enclosed, he has a heater and blankets on board to protect against the elements. This was 100% worth it and so glad I took the risk leaving the airport to do this tour! Thanks Captain Dave for all of the laughs!

We had an overnight...

We had an overnight layover in Amsterdam and decided to do the early morning boat tour of the canal. Oh, the timing was perfect!! Our tour guide was hilarious and shared so many fun stories of the history of the canals and the growth of Amsterdam. We had such a blast and went straight to the airport afterwards grinning from ear to ear. It was the perfect ending for our layover.

A perfect tour, even for a Non-morning person

The best way to do a canal boat tour in my opinion and I’m not a morning person. You get to be on a historic boat, the water is quiet, you can see things without distractions and you can hear Captain Dave without straining. You don’t feel as if you’re on a typical tour, it feels more like a family get together with your cousin telling stories - some historic, some personal, but always memorable, interesting and entertaining.

Our early morning canal tour with a small group was delightful. The coffee, orange juice, smoothies, and croissants were a pleasant surprise. Our tour guide (Frans) was engaging and knowledgeable with a quick sense of humor. We've done the big boat tours before and this experience was so much more enjoyable. We learned a lot about the canals, Dutch history, the architecture of the canal houses and the history of the boat. Definitely worth the time and money.

Captain Dave had to change our cruise date/time (that's okay, things happen) so we ended up on an evening cruise (with wine and snacks). Captain Dave is a funny and personable tour guide and the boat is beautiful. We were so happy to have a cover over our heads on this boat because we saw so many others who were just soaked through as they floated by. We learned more about the topography, geography, and history of Amsterdam, while also having our questions answered about the modern day city. We loved this cruise and we'd do it again.

We had a wonderful experience on this cruise- Captain Dave was so friendly and knowledgeable, truly passionate about the city. We had intentionally given ourselves a 9-hour layover in Amsterdam, and the timing of this cruise was just perfect! My parents, husband, and 6-month old all had a wonderful time! The food and beverages were delicious, too, a great treat since not many places were open early enough for us to grab a bite beforehand!
