We had the best tour guide ever. I teared up when we had to say good-bye to Mike. She took us so many places that were wonderful. What ever we wanted to do was no problem for her. I will tell any of my friend that are going to Amsterdam to ask for her., They will have a wonderful day.
Relaxing and informative

Of course the tulips were amazing. David was an exceptional host. He shared much information at each site and stepped back to allow us an unhurried tour of the tulips. My favorite tour out of the 4 we experienced
Impressive, colorful, informative

Had a great driver who provided excellent history of our tour stops. Had plenty of time to visit at all stops.
Tulips, windmills, clogs and cheese!

We were picked up by Rayette who was fantastic. She was our guide and driver and explained everything. We stopped for lunch which was superb as were the pancakes. An afternoon at Keukenhof and then back to the hotel. This trip was excellent and would recommend highly 🤩
Flowers and windmills

The private tour of the quaint little town of Zaanse Schans was fantastic. Seeing and going into a working windmill, watching cheese making, and making of wood shoes was great. Our tour guide Hans was great.
Good tour with Dave
Don_C, May 2023
First half of the day was with Dave. He was excellent guide with great comments and history lessons. Second half of the day was with Adu, who is certainly locquatoos, only dropped us off at Keukenhof. Didn't provide any other information.
Exceptional Tour

Esther was an extremely pleasant and knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed her personal stories about life in Holland. Such an interesting tour and beautiful tulips!
Keukenhof experience
Elizabeth_R, Apr 2023
Everything was memorable. It was cold and rainy at the Windmill Village but weather warmed for us to enjoy Keukenhof. Our tour guide, Rey, was excellent. We all give her ☆☆☆☆☆. She gave us the famous stroopwafel cookies.
Wonderful visit

Tulips were awesome. So much better yhan expected. Beautiful in bloom. Grounds are large and well maintained. Exhibits are very informative. Easy to walk around and can accommodate tons of visitors eadily. Our guide, David, was fantastic and accommodated our special request on our private tour. Well worth the time and cost.
Beautiful Blooms and Windmills

What a fun day trip! Our driver was prompt and very friendly. He took us to the first part of the tour which was to see the Keukenhof gardens. What a gorgeous sight; bursts of color everywhere. We had plenty of time to wander the gardens before we were driven to a very nice restaurant for lunch. After lunch, our tour resumed with a new driver/guide, who was fantastic. She took us to see the Windmills, clogs, and cheese production. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Extraordinary day in Amsterdam

Paid for private tour of Keukenhof and windmills. Picked up at hotel and driven to Keukenhof in a.m. where we toured on our own. Beautiful! Picked up and driven to lunch on our own. After lunch we were driven to the Zaanse Schans Windmills where Erik greeted us. He was fabulous, special and we had the best time ever with him. Thank you, Erik. Because of him, we got special treatment, learned about this special town, saw the windmills actually operated and had special demonstrations in English of clog and cheese making. Thank you, Erik! Wished our drivers were more knowledgeable. Didn't seem to know about Floriade or give any info about Keukenhof. Later, taxi drivers gave us more information than our "tour". But Erik more than made up for it.
This is more of a Transfer to each location then a Private Tour.

I booked this tour for my mother, my boyfriend and myself. We paid the hefty price for what we thought was a private tour of both the Gardens at Keukenhof and then also to Zaanse Schans, as well as a cheese maker and a clog maker. What it turned out to be was basically just a ride with one driver rushing us. The pick up at the hotel was great, and that first driver was very nice, although she was a little confused on what time we would be picked up. We then got dropped off at the gardens and where told we explored on our own for 3 hours, we where a bit confused, where was the your, but nope no tour. The three of us made our way through the gardens, which where amazing. Although most of the rows of tulips where gone, which no one told us. It was packed, I thought we would have gotten a tour, to know more about the history etc of the gardens and the displays, nope. We then rushed back to our coach where a new driver was, This driver I think her name was Regina or Renata. She had long black hair and she was extremely rude, she got us in the van didn't know there was a step so my mother fell into the van. I had to remind her that she was taking us to the lunch spot, cause I don't believe we would have gone if I hadn't told her. It seemed like the two morning drivers didn't know what was going on. We got to the lunch place and it took us 5-10 minutes to park, very close to other cars, and very badly, she should have let us out and then parked. When we got in the restaurant she was mean and rushed us, and rude to the wait staff and us. It was completely unacceptable. The restaurant was great and our waitress more then made up for the drivers meanness. We then got driven to Zaanse Schans to see the windmill village which was awesome, we had a great local guide named Serena. This was the best part of the day, it was also the ONLY private tour of the day. Serena was amazing, and very nice. It would have been nice to have had her at the gardens.. We got to go into a working windmill and visit a cheese shop and clog maker. If it wasn't for this part of the day, I would be even more upset about this tour. We got picked up by a third driver and he brought us back to hotel. It was a full day, but not the day I thought I was booking, just note that most of the morning is on your own, and you can not leave anything in the van, cause you will have a whole bunch of different drivers.
Day tour
Jill_D, Apr 2019
Esther our tour guide was amazing! She knew all of the ins and outs of Zaan Schans. The whole day was great! The pancake lunch was in a beautiful place. This tour was very nice and I highly recommend it but read below. Here are my takeaways: 1. I took a bag with water and a coat and snack in it thinking we would be in the same car all day. We weren’t. 2. I had to wait for a free locker at the kukenhoff to store my bag as I didn’t want to carry it for at least 3 hours as I had bought cheese at zaan Schans and it was HEAVY! 3. I didn’t know there was actually a luggage check as well at kukenhoff so I would not have had to wait if I had known that. 4. I feel the guide that picked us up after kukenhoff to take us back to Amsterdam could have maybe had some small bottles of water waiting for us. There are places to buy water but considering what we Paid for our tour, I feel 2 bottles of water would have been a nice touch. 5. I thought we should tip our guide but wasn’t sure so we tipped 20 euros. Our guide was appreciative. I recommend using zaan tours again but wish I had known some of the above before I booked. Therefore this is why I am leaving this review!
The “pass off” tour.

We hired a private driver (nice to not be on a bus with 60 people) for an expensive price. We had 2 drivers (one late) and at the end of the zaan portion of our tour, a taxi was sent for us. It felt like a shuffling game. Our guide in the sweet Zaan village was Ingrid, she was wonderful and lives there so provided a lot of fun facts! The tulip gardens are a must...stunning (no guide needed). Our tour guides (drivers) barely said two words (except wonderful Ingrid)! If you dislike bus tours, or are a fsmily, then this private van is the way to go, just don’t expect the same driver the entire time.
