Great Day
Tanya_R, May 2023
So much fun! The tour guides were great. We also had Mayan tortillas and learned how to make them. We swam in a beautiful cenote. Chitchen Itza is breath taking. Really great day. It can be very hot and a lot of walking. Make sure you are physically fit and prepared for walking and heat.
Response from Host, May 2023
Dear Travelers, Thank you for your wonderful feedback on our tour! We're thrilled to hear that you had a great experience and enjoyed the expertise of our guides. We completely understand that the weather conditions, such as the heat and the amount of walking involved, can impact the tour experience. The Yucatan Peninsula can get quite hot, especially during certain seasons, and exploring sites like Chichen Itza often requires walking. We always encourage our guests to come prepared and ensure they are physically fit to make the most of the tour. Staying hydrated, wearing comfortable clothing, and using sun protection is essential to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit. We're delighted that you found the day to be genuinely great overall. It's our aim to provide exceptional experiences that leave our guests with lasting memories. If there's anything else we can assist you with or if you'd like to explore more destinations, please don't hesitate to let us know. We'd be more than happy to help you plan your next adventure! Chichen Itza

Booking this excursion was the best decision I’ve made for this trip. This was truly an adventure that I will never forget. Yes the day runs long 12hrs+ but it is truly an experience that you will never forget. Alexis and Ricardo were such fun tour guides and are very knowledgeable in Mayan culture and the history of the places you visit. Chichen Itzá is such a beautiful place with so much history and ruins to see. The cenote was so refreshing and worth it. If you’re thinking about booking this excursion DO IT! It is truly and unforgettable experience.

Very Good Experience
Shameed_K, Apr 2023
Overall the trip was very good. Chichen-Itza was incredible! The tour guides were very knowledgeable. The driver got us there and back to our hotel in good time. Our only complaints were the cenote and the restaurant were falsely advertised. We never went to Ik-Kil cenote, they took us to the Selva Maya cenote, which was no big deal. Also when we booked this tour were were under the impression we were having lunch at the Selva restaurant. That never happened, we ended up at a different restaurant. That was disappointing. The lunch was ok at the other restaurant but filling. Viator needs to clarify this for future customers.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Hello! Thank you for your feedback about your recent tour with us. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed Chichen-Itza and found our tour guides to be knowledgeable. We are also glad that our driver got you to and from your hotel on time. However, we apologize for any confusion or disappointment regarding the cenote and restaurant. While we strive to accurately advertise our tour itinerary, it seems that there may have been some miscommunication or misunderstanding. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Regarding the cenote, we do offer tours to both Ik-Kil and Selva Maya cenotes, and it is possible that there was a miscommunication as the cenote you visit depends on the tour option you book. As for the restaurant, we apologize that you were not taken to the one you were expecting. We would like to clarify that the tour description does not mention the Selva restaurant, and we are unsure where you saw this information. Please let us know so we can correct any misinformation. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our tours for future customers. We hope to have the opportunity to show you an even better time on your next tour with us. Thank you again for choosing to travel with us. Best regards, OlMar Travel Mexico Team
Authentic tour
cosimodelre, Apr 2023
The tour is extremely organized and comfortable. The transport is a bus with air conditioners and the guides speak Spanish and English. They will tell you the history of chichen itza with a passion that is difficult to find in any other tour.

An amazing experience overall, just know what to expect.
Cristin_J, Nov 2022
This was a whirlwind tour. Pros: it was amazing to see so many things in 1 day. Chichen Itza and the explanation of the pyramid were awesome. The Ik Kil Cenote was beautiful, calm, and a unique experience everyone should have. The buffet lunch was delicious! One of the best meals I had on our vacation. The tour of the Mayan village, Kaua, was interesting and the area was so peaceful and the people very kind! Valladolid was ok, but didn't add to the overall experience. Cons: the seat in front of my husband was broken for the first leg of the trip so the weight of the man sitting there rested on his legs. (this was rectified for the second leg, but only after the guide did his presentation using the seats up front. Not a deal breaker, just a moment of frustration.) We could have spent a full day just at Chichen Itza walking around all of the ruins and getting a description and viewing everything we possibly could. But THIS tour included so many things, that this part felt rushed and focused only the few major ruins. There were lots of others in the area & we wanted to go explore more. We did get some good pictures and it was crazy hot so it's understandable to beat the crowds and get out. We would potentially take another separate Chichen Itza tour in the future and another Cenote/ mayan village tour now that we know. Also, we bought the Mayan horoscopes for our kids thinking it would be fun... but they were a little too dark. Telling a 10 year old who already feels like nobody likes him that he will never feel like he belongs anywhere will potentially eat at him and reinforce this poor perception of himself. We would not do this addition again in retrospect.

Dear Travelers, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall tour, including the beauty of Ik Kil Cenote, the delicious buffet lunch, and the interesting tour of the Mayan village Kaua. However, we regret to hear about the inconvenience caused by the broken seat in front of your husband during the first part of the trip. We apologize for any frustration this may have caused. We also understand your feedback regarding the Chichen Itza tour. As this is a comprehensive tour, we strive to provide a well-rounded experience that covers multiple sites. However, we appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future tours. Thank you once again for choosing us for your tour experience, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Best regards, OlMar Travel Mexico Team
Brilliant day at the Chichen Itza!!!
Danielle_J, Apr 2022
This tour was brilliant! The transfer was efficient, the buffet lunch was nice (although drinks not included) and we were given sufficient time at each location to sightsee/browse souvenirs. The Chichen Itza site is fascinating and quite large so ensure you wear comfortable shoes (it’s also very dusty and some of the ground is uneven). The city of Valladolid is very pretty and had a little market where you could buy souvenirs and snacks. You don’t get long here but it’s plenty of time to explore the square and take pictures. My favourite part of the tour was the cenote. We decided to visit the Cenote Selva Maya and it was stunning! The Hacienda it’s situated in is very picturesque and the facilities are good. Staff are very friendly and it’s very clean. The cenote itself was amazing and so much fun to swim in (they also had a platform to jump in which is a must do!). Our guides Orlando and Tony were so friendly and knowledgable. It was inspiring to hear them speak of their Mayan background and they were both really engaging. The Chichen Itza is a must-see and swimming in the cenote was a tick off of the bucket list. All in all, we had the best day and I would 100% recommend this tour!!!

We were given just the right amount of time to explore the Chichen-Itza. I could have hung out at the cenote all day! It was perfect. The lunch was great too.
Great Day
Kelley_P, Jul 2019
This was a great excursion dispite the temperature of 99°. There could have been a little bit more time at the cenote, we were kind of rushed. But overall, very informative and an awesome piece of history.
No recomiendo esta excursión
JOSE_M, Jun 2023

Atentamente, OlMar Travel Mexico
