Overview

Cancun's best snorkeling can only be reached by boat. Experience the area's sheer diversity on a snorkeling tour with five separate stops—a shipwreck, a cenote, coral reef, underwater sculptures and a sea turtle grazing area. Group sizes are kept small, with no more than 10 people per boat, while you wrap up your adventure with a Jet Ski ride. Package includes round-trip hotel transfers but excludes dock fees.

What To Expect

After pickup from your Cancun hotel—most major hotels are covered—check in, pay your dock fee, and change: There are storage lockers for your belongings with a refundable deposit.

Then you’re off in small boats for your snorkeling adventure. Don the included equipment to visit five separate spots, including underwater statues, a shipwreck, a cenote, coral reef, and a site that’s known for sea turtles.

With a maximum of 10 people per boat and staff to supervise and assist, safety is assured even if you’ve never snorkeled before. The water is calm with very little current and the maximum depth is just 9 feet (3 meters).

Next, transfer to your personal Jet Ski, get to know the simple controls, and spend 30 minutes roaring along the Cancun coast.

At the end of your experience, shower and towels are provided so you can change before you continue your day.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

The whole trip felt extremely rushed. Couldn't stop to enjoy the sculptures or the sunken ship. Even time I dived down and came back up, I would hear the tour guide yelling "Keep up!" "Go RIGHT, go LEFT!!" "Catch up!" "Stay with the group" it felt like he was herding cattle. Common. It's snorkeling. You gotta stop and smell the corals and really emerse yourself. Also be known, that this should be labeled as a begginers snorkeling trip, the poor tour guide literally had to teach people how to put on their flippers. Also paid for pictures and videos and haven't received them yet. Best part was the jetskis, those things were awesome

Excellent Trip

This was an excellent snorkelling trip. We stopped at a shipwreck (waters were very choppy so we didn’t stay long), underwater museum, turtles and a cenote. I saw two turtles! Monica was an excellent guide and they provided us with water on the boat. Her English was very good also. We booked to do the jet ski as well however after the snorkelling decided not to go ahead with the jet ski. As above, the water was really choppy so we didn’t feel comfortable. No refund provided which is understandable, however a reschedule was offered. Thank you!

Will Be Back for More!!

First of all, our tour guide Monica was amazing and really helped make the whole experience. The snorkeling areas were beautiful and although the first was a bit crowded, all the other stops were very relaxed. The only downside we had on the trip was weather related. Dark clouds rolled in before reaching the cenotes so those weren't as visible. All in all, A+++ and would recommend to all.

As land dwellers, there is aways a craving to experience adventure. Well on the morning of our excursion the wind had picked up and there was white caps. The day was better suited to diving that a snorkel. I asked about the conditions when we arrived and mentioned that we got a jet ale package combo. No problem no problem. Until we return from the snorkeling all jacked up about half of the boat ended up throwing up over the side because of the conditions. Retuning back to the dock green under the gills I explained that my wife and both had no interest in spending an hour on jet skis. The manager didn’t want to even talk about it. Was just NO REFUND. I said we are not burning your fuel or wasting anyones time. Only reschedule!! Well we only had one more day in Mexico on this trip. Such is life!!!

Loved seeing the sea turtles, the ship wreck and the cenote. Guide (luis) very extreamly nice. My flipper ripped during the snorkeling. Luckily they had a spare strap. My mask leaked a little. My fault for not trying it on before going out. I recommend you bring yiu own mask and bring towels!! They don't supply towels and the website and booking does not state that.

We had a great time both snorkeling and using the JetSkis. Alex was our guide during snorkeling on Barracuda’s ship. They made it fun and very informative. We got to see lots of different fish, turtles and other sea life. The JetSkis, or rather seadoos, were very fun. They explained everything well, as we were not very experienced. We would definitely recommend to others and do this to her again next time we are in Cancun. The transport that was included was great also! They had few people in the van and only had one stop, which made it fast to get there and back. Thank you everyone!

Hello Jess! Thank you for taking the time in giving us a review. All of our snorkeling tubes are brand new and sealed when given to our guests, and as such don't really need any extra sanitation. As for the extra $10 usd, we're sorry but it is a charge made by the marina and not us. We hope you may return for another adventure in the future, and that you enjoy a great fun time with us again

Disappointing

This was our first negative experience with a Viator tour. First off, the check-in was chaotic to say the least. The snorkeling equipment was very poor and left us all with sore noses and mouths. Most disappointing was the tour itself. For two of the three stops, the boat dropped everyone off and then moved to another point in front of the group. We swam in a straight line to the boat, all together, no exploring and got right back on the boat. The sites were touristy and crowded. When we got back for the jet ski tour, we had booked 5 individual jet skis. They had three available and no other option. They would not refund the jet ski portion of the tour and said the doubles could have an hour and the single (we are a family of 5) could have half an hour. They were inflexible even though they were not providing what they had committed to and we had paid for. There was no tour. We were only allowed to go back and forth in front of the dock, an area filled with seaweed, which stalled out the jet skis constantly.

Great experience, spent too much time searching for turtles, I would rather spend more time on the ship wreck, there's a lot of fish and I think it's the best of snorkeling part. Jetski was great too, they say it's around 30 minutes, but I think I was riding for more than 40.

This excursion was amazing. The staff are all extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do! We were lucky enough to have Captain Rilly as our captain and George as our guide for the snorkeling portion. They were both awesome and they gave us a great time that we’ll never forget! Our jetski guide (unfortunately I cannot recall his name) was also phenomenal. You can’t go wrong with this activity! I highly recommend it! Thank you all for your amazing services!

Amazing Excursion

I can’t even begin to describe how beautiful this experience was. The shuttle service picked us up from our hotel and from that very moment the fun began. Robert was our tour guide and although he was sometimes overly assertive, he meant the best In teaching us how to make the best of our experience. Captain Juan was a blast and excellent navigator in helping us find green sea turtles especially & Esther captured some of the best underwater photos and videos I’ve ever had taken. Since I was a bit more experienced than the rest of my group I trailed off with Esther to explore the shipwreck and capture my own amazing footage. Her knowledge of the marine life and her skill in manipulating the location of the fish was top tier. The last part of our excursion was the Jetske ‘s. Going 40 miles an hour on open water is frightening to some, but in my case it is beyond freeing. The first two parts of our experience totaled about an hour and a half and the JetSki experience was about 40 minutes. This was more than adequate time to fully enjoy the machines on the water in the vast area that we were able to ride & Needless to say Esther captured even more amazing photos above the water. I’ll give this experience an 8 out of 10. It’s almost impossible to guarantee that marine life will be present, but we did get the experience of swimming with one sea turtle. My only qualm Was that the photos were quite expensive, but Totally worth the memories that total Snorkel helped create

Omg! Roberto and Captain Juan were absolutely amazing they made sure that I was safe they also told me about all the fish that we were seeing as well as make sure that we were comfortable in the water before we went far away from boat. We stopped at multiple snorkeling sites which was definitely appreciate it because most companies will take you to one site and then that’s the end of the excursion. This is Cashin with so amazing I definitely would like to do it again this week!! And Agnes will take all of your pictures while you’re underwater so that you can be hands-free !!! Outstanding service!

We had an amazing time and the staff was so helpful and generous - the price was very fair and decent - you get a lot for the money. The staff was personable and eager to show us the best sites during the snorkeling tour. Monica was our tour guide for the snorkeling and she was very kind. Also, they warn ahead of ordering the trip that they’re strict on the pick up time, they meant what they said and showed on the dot. They have to so they can take care of everyone timely throughout the day. They coordinate with the other companies to do the snorkeling so there’s not a bunch of boats on top of each other.
