We picked up tickets from "meeting location". We thought someone was going to accompany us to the entrance. But, they just told us "follow the wall to the entrance." Once we got to the museum entrance it was crazy with LOTS of people. It was kind of confusing which line we were supposed to be in. "Skip the line" really just means "skip the ticket line to purchase a ticket". Once inside, the museum and Sistine Chapel were AMAZING
Ended up waiting for office and Vatican

We booked an 8 AM skip the line ticket. Email said to arrive 20 minutes early. We arrived at 7:40 AM and the office was closed til 8. When we got in and they printed our tickets, they gave us tickets for 9 AM entrance.

This is a ticket touting company. Not only do they charge almost double the cost of the tickets, they are rude, disorganised and don't even explain the time you enter at.

we have booked the tickets for 3pm. we where to pick them up 20 min. before that. they made us wait until 14:50 and then gave us the tickets. but at the museum we realized that the tickets where good only for 3:30pm. so we got cheated with the timing, and our time was waisted.

Definitely need to purchase tickets for this event well ahead of your arrival as the location often times runs out of tickets. Our original time slot was coordinated to push back an hour due to events at the chapel with out cancelling our reservation. This was key as we only had this day set aside to tour the site.

A Great Way to Enjoy the Vatican Museum

This worked perfectly for our group of 4! We booked the tickets about 4 days before our cruise ship arrived. We took a taxi to the Vatican City area to find the office where we exchanged our emailed voucher for the Skip the Line entry to the museum. We told them we were flexible on timing. Since we were the only ones booked for that time and there were no other customers waiting, the young man in the office led us to the dedicated entry and took us inside where he clearly explained the process for entering the museum and then told us we could spend as much time exploring the museum and the Sistine Chapel as we wished. We spent 8 euros per person renting a self-paced audio guide and were able to linger in the parts we wanted to and walked on by the parts we had less interest in. It was a great way to enjoy the Vatican Museum.

The Vatican is beautiful however they pile people in like sardines. No ventilation in half the building and thousands of people everywhere. The first hour of the tour was interesting. After that it went from artifacts to just learning about the history of the catholic faith. The tour company was rude and I would never use them again.

Vatican museum trip

This is good if you are into the history of the ancient times before Christ..Egyptians etc up thru about 500 ad. There are all the statues and artefacts from that periods of 2000 years. But it takes a long time to go thru the museum because of the crowds. 4 Hours roughly to get to the end part...the Sistine Chapel.

We had breakfast at the outdoor court yard restaurant and it was really good a lot of food. The museum was great. The chapel was quick, but if they are going to have a dress code then enforce it. I would have preferred to pack only shirts and no dresses for our trip.

Horrible experience, DO NOT BOOK. The instructions are unclear because it says don’t go to redemption point but gives no clear instructions on where to go. Went to the Vatican entrance and did not see Viator anywhere. Finally just went to the address (redemption point) and it doesn’t even exist, no office, no business, nothing. Now they are refusing refund. Such a scam, do not book this for any reason even if you’re looking for last minute tickets.

Super rude, I was going to call the police for them. When i asked how does it work he started shouting at me, telling me go come back later and i will explain. Said you booked last minute so do what i say ( i booked over and hour earlier) They refused to cancel, took my money and ViaTor did not even help. Be ware this Tome Tour Tickets is a serious scam.

Completely worth it to skip the line. Even with this ticket our wait was close to an hour from meetup to entrance at the museum. Without "skipping the line" we would likely have been up to 10 hours! This is not a tour or guided. Easy to navigate the museum and plenty of options to learn about the exhibit on your own.
