What To Expect

Make your way to the centrally located meeting point in the early morning, settle into the bus, and enjoy the short journey out of Amsterdam to charming Zaanse Schans. You’ll have plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere of this traditional windmill-dotted neighborhood and visit a clog shop to learn how and why these traditional Dutch wooden shoes were made.

After a tour of a Zaanse Schans cheese factory, your next stop is Giethoorn, also known as “the Venice of the North,” where you’ll take a 1-hour-long boat tour and learn about how the Dutch live with and on the water while admiring the village’s farmhouses and picturesque bridges. Back on dry land, you’ll have time to explore Giethoorn independently, with expert recommendations from your guide, before returning to Amsterdam in the early evening.

Our tour guide, Jay, was amazing - kept everyone together, funny and informative all at once, and provided unexpected extras that put sparkle on the day. The Zaanse Windmills were beautiful and included history and demonstrations on the cheese and clog-making that were so enjoyable. Giethoorn is beautiful as well - so relaxing and pleasant. Each spot could make a full day's tour in itself, but this tour combined them very well. Thank you so much!

Doing a day trip to visit the windmills of Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn was a definitely worth the time and money. A great way to see a bit more of the Netherlands without a big time investment. The tour was well organized after the initial meeting. Unfortunately, the email meeting place was not correct. This created some stress and chaos to get started. This happened to both us and another couple. If this did not happen it would have been a 5 star trip.

The cheese factory in particular was lovely, Ibrahim was very knowledgeable and it was lovely to listen to everything he had to say. We also loved the stop in the tulip fields ❤️

The tour guide was very good very helpful with every question you had and knew a lot about the cities we went to the cheese shop had amazing cheeses and the guide even added a bonus at the end and let us see the tulips in the fields

Thank you for your service. However, our tourist guide, did not treat us properly. From the beginning, he failed to provide information about our start time. Initially, he instructed us to meet at the bus around 11:45 AM, but he left us behind at 11:15 AM. Despite our arrival at the bus location by 11:20 AM and our repeated attempts to call him, he did not answer the phone, causing us to panic as we were left alone in an unknown place. He eventually called us at 11:45 AM, informing us that the bus had left without us and advising us to contact the tour operator. This situation was particularly distressing as we had a small child and two elderly parents with us.

It started out prettY bad because they changed the meeting point and didn’t let us know. However, they made up for this by sending a taxi to pick us up and take us to where the bus was. Once on the tour, it was very interesting. Fernando had a lot of information about the history of the Netherlands and we enjoyed it very much.

Great experience! From the prompt pick up to the comfortable bus. Wish we would've had a little bit more time at Zaanse Schans, but in general, perfect amount of time at Giethoorn. Really nice and pleasant driver, and a great guide! Ibrahim was the star of the show! He was very knowlegeable and entertaining, so funny. Always making sure we were all comfortable and having a good time. Gave us so many tidbits about Holland and you can see how happy it makes him to share stories and facts about his country. We also received water bottles, stroopafels and a warm drink to enjoy during the cruise at Giethoorn, and they even made a really quick stop at a Market where Ibrahim bought us all beautiful, fresh apples! All of these very nice and appreciated details. A superb trip all around! Completely recommend!

This is a really good trip. The tour guide and the company really trying their best and did extra for the customer. Our trip covers for the cheese and clog demonstration, there is a jewelry shop and some ladies interested and tour guide said he can ask the shop to do demo to them as well. My trip for the next day got cancel and the tour guide ( Dutchtrip ) helps to check for other travel agent's trip so that my stays in Amsterdam are cover with the day trip. He explained thru the journey of what is the highlight and share history with us. This is a great trip.
