Amazing thought provoking trip, lots of walking but worth every minute . Guide walked a bit too fast so wasn't always able to soak up the atmosphere as would've liked.

Starting on a positive, the actual tour of Auschwitz with our guide was great. He spoke clearly & more so that the French couple whose French speaking tour had been cancelled could understand. He came to the birkenau part just to help them. The negative… the transfer was poorly organised. Our selected time of 10am was changed to 12.55pm after the cancellation period so couldn’t do anything about that. The pick up point was also changed & finding the right guide was chaotic due to a large group of people all trying to find the correct tour. The driver barely spoke a word of English and changed the route back into Krakow so after being driven around until 9.30pm we had to ask him to let us off the bus so we could walk back to our apartment. Being picked up so late meant we lost almost a full day of our holiday. I would not book through this company ever again.

This tour is a must.

Harrowing tour, as you can well imagine. However, the tour guide was superb, knowledgeable and very respectful. This tour, despite the horror of what you will hear, is a must.

I was extremely disappointed with this tour. I booked this trip well in advance of our break. This was a very special trip for me and my friends as my friend is recovering from cancer and we had this trip planned as it's something she's always wanted to do. The organiser contacted me the day before to say our booking for 10am had been changed to 12:15pm with no explanation. This affected our whole trip and experience. The tour was rushed and when collecting other passengers seemed total chaos as there was a huge queue of people. When we got to Autzwitz the tour was rushed. We were given a guide and head phones to listen to him. He was very difficult to understand and had no personality at all. Spoke monotone and very quickly. It ruined the whole experience. Definitely would NOT recommend.

An absolute must do when visiting Krakow

The Story of Auschwitz speaks for itself but actually being there really hits hard! Our guide Ziggy was very good - patient, humorous (when appropriate) but also seemed very moved and empathetic despite no doubt having witnessed Auschwitz many times over.

Visit this historical place anyway!!

Firstly the correspondence from Viator wasn't great, was told they would let us know day before what time we would be picked up, I had to message twice before received email at 10pm, then was told time would 10.20 from 9.30. Driver was lovely, trip was good, but communication leading up to trip wasn't so good.

The pick-up hotel and the trip was comfortable. When we arrived the guide took us through all the buildings and camps. He was very informative and kind. We definitely recommend it. As for the place it was really stunning and sad when you finally understand what those people had to go through.

The actual tour was very informative and the guide extremely knowledgeable. What let this trip down was the transfer. When booked we were confirmed for a pick up from our hotel and transported by mini bus. The day before we were advised we would have to walk to a meeting point. The transport was not a mini bus but a 50 seater coach. As such with other pickups the notified journey of 90 minutes actually took two hours. This meant we had only 15-20 mins to use toilets and buy some lunch before our tour started.

Everything ran very smoothly,from pick up time to return . The driver was very good & he kept us informed throughout the day. The shared transport was fine, but a bit too cosy for my liking. Not much room when full - a bit claustrophobic. The Lady tour guide was amazing,& really knew her stuff. There was sufficient time throughout to take breaks .We weren't aware that there was so much walking for the Birkenhau part of the tour. An amazing yet emotional experience. I would definitely recommend the tour to others , & use of the tour operators Viator. The online booking process on was easy to access .

I have done this tour before about 4 years ago. The Guide was great this time the lady we had was not a good Guide at all, she didn’t interact and could tell she didn’t want to be doing the job. Quite disappointing.

Guide was very knowledgeable. As a Jew I obviously knew a lot about the holocaust. Even so nothing can prepare you for actually being there and literally walking on the blood and ashes of people- Jewish or not

This really was a great tour. They picked us up from the hotel, had our tickets ready on arrival, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, and they dropped us back at the hotel. Very humbling experience at the camps, but the tour was very good.
