Overview

Attend the Samba Parade (aka Rio Carnival Parade) while taking in Brazil's biggest festival in Rio de Janeiro. Carnival revolves around these two nights when six of the best samba schools in the First League (the Special Group) march. Choose either the Sunday or Monday performance in February 2018 to enjoy what is often referred to as 'The Biggest Show on Earth'. Includes entrance fees and hotel pickup and drop-off from zones in central Rio.

What To Expect

Be ready for pickup at 9pm from hotels in Barra, Centro, Flamengo, Sao Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana, or the cruise ship port, and ride in an air-conditioned van to the Samba Parade.

Choose to attend one of the most important nights of Carnival, either Sunday February 11 or or Monday February 12, 2018. The two nights are similar, with six of the best samba schools in the First League (the Special Group) marching on both days.

Enjoy a highly orchestrated show of vast proportions for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your Rio Samba Parade ticket is valid for one night only and is designated for Sector 4 of the Sambodromo. See the Itinerary section below for schools performing each night.

      CARNIVAL OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE

      Overall a great experience attending the Carnival in Rio. I would suggest there could improve communication on where to meet on the pick up. Diego was an outstanding host in ensuring our safety and comfort to the Carnival.

      Incredibly interesting and beautiful parade of Schools of Samba. The costumes were out of this world and the participation of people in the celebration were enjoyable. I believe no culture or country in the world offers what Brazil does.

      The carnaval was spectacular. The only thing is the person who picked us up or brought us back to the ship spoke only portuguese and it was difficult to communicate.

      Extraordinaire oui pour le carnaval défilée..... Mais pour le transport je ne donnerais pas énorme comme contentement, oui il pleuvait très fort, mais nous avons dus attendre dehors sous la pluie pendant 1:30, j’ai téléphoner par deux fois l’agence et on me disait oui dans cinq minutes.ils auraient certainement pus partir plus tôt. Les renseignements pour tous nous rejoindre après la soirée,,,,n’étaient pas clairs, tout le groupe ne savais pas où....alors on est rester ensemble. Mon conjoint et moi, Nous aurions aimé rester jusqu’à la fin, mais le guide nous disais, non c’est tout dé unité sinon, trouve vous un transport. C’est plutot illogique comme réponse, pour des touristes en pleine nuit.... Ça fait plusieurs années que je réserve des expéditions avec Viator, avec entière satisfaction, mais là nous avons été déçu, très déçu du transport.
