What To Expect

Meet up directly at Marina La Bonita or request hotel pickup (extra charge), then board the Adelita for your catamaran day cruise through the Puerto Morelos Lagoon. Enjoy unlimited drinks as the boat makes its way to a secluded sandbar far from shore.

Here the boat will drop anchor so you can hop off to swim, paddleboard, or relax on a floating mattress—the water is so shallow here that even kids and non-swimmers can confidently jump off the boat.

Take a break over a light lunch of sandwiches and chips, then enjoy a final dip or bask in the sun on board (beach towels provided) before the return cruise to the marina and hotel drop off (if requested; extra charge).

We had a really relaxing and fun time on the catamaran. Our eleven passenger car was impeded by a truck delivering bricks to a construction site. But not to fear we walked and were escorted into the catamaran dock shop. After signing waivers and getting wristbands we met our crew at the dock. We sat topside with two other couples. There were 15 of us and the crew. The water was a little choppy but the sun was out and it was a gorgeous day. The crew was very attentive to providing beverages and we got to practice our Spanish. We had a great time on the sandbar, swimming and taking turns on a paddleboard. Towels were provided and there was a place for the crew to stow our bags below. On the ride back we enjoyed a sandwich lunch with chips and fruit 🍎. The crew even cut up our apple for us. The crew also took pictures of us during the day. The ocean spray was great fun on the way back and the view was gorgeous. Highly recommend this excursion if you have the time.

The perfect boat day!

My boyfriend and I had such a great time! Easy pick up from the hotel, they arrived 10 minutes earlier than expected. The boat was large and not crowded. Other couples were fun to talk to. Drinks were flowing, they would even bring it out to you at the sandbar. The sandbar is gorgeous in the middle of the ocean. The sandwiches they provided was super yummy as well, my only feedback would be to provide more food like chips and salsa. The staff have been so nice and accommodating. Overall, highly recommend this experience!

What a great adventure! The water was absolutely gorgeous clear blue, teal and warm! The sandbar during this time of year was about 4 feet deep!!! It was really so perfect like a dream!!! The guides were all amazing, giving everyone their full attention and never shorted us on the alcoholic beverages!!! What an amazing experience did not disappoint at all!! Even my husband who is not a big fan of water enjoyed himself!!! We highly recommend doing this adventure, you won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you to all our guides you made it such a great experience!!!

Great experience! We had so much fun- they take you about an hour out and then you get to swim and lounge around in the water for probably another hour- drinks and lunch served- sandwich, chips and apple. Would do it again!

Amazing trip! We’ve never seen water so blue, it was beautiful. Crew was awesome and only 7 people on our trip (us + another group), which was great. Felt like a private experience. Highly recommend!
Check the wind before you go

I urge you, as a customer, to check the wind before you go on this. Our wind speed was 15 - 18MPH, and half of the boat was sick. It would have been great at a lower wind level. Due to the wind, the sand bar was like a wild ride. I was disappointed they did not postpone the trip. On the positive side, the staff was great.

The workers were beyond helpful and kind towards me and my boyfriend. I never had an empty hand! The views were beautiful and so beyond relaxing. The lunch was a perfect size and tasted very good. I’ve never experienced a sandbar so private yet gorgeous at the same time. HIGHLY recommend this place!

It's a booze cruise

It was fine, but this is definitely a BOOZE CRUISE. If that's what you're looking for, you'll love it. If you're looking for a peaceful sail, it NOT THAT. The trip out was relaxing and the swim was beautiful. But the sail back was different. By that point, the rest of the passengers were wasted and sloppy, and the crew kept serving them. They could barely walk by the time we got back to the marina. If that's your idea of fun, go for it. I was with my 80 year old mother and 10 year old son, so it wasn't great for me.

The staff was great. However, our group of 4 there were 3 who did not swim. They were NOT able to get off the boat. If you cannot swim or uncomfortable with water past your waist. Then choose another boat. Like I said everyone was super nice and went out of their way to accommodate each and every need. The sandbar, was not a sandbar for non swimmers.

Such a memorable day! Transportation was easy to arrange - the driver was really nice and on time. (He also played great music on the ride)! The crew was AMAZING - Jose and Martin! The sand bar was so much fun. We had the best time on the floaties and they made delicious drinks and swam them out to us when we needed a refill! Louise and Mark were the most amazing people we met on the boat, we laughed and laughed and smiled the whole time we were on the boat and in the water! Again - such a memorable day!

The shuttle picked us up timely from our hotel, and the catamaran crew was wonderful. They kept our drinks full, and we had a blast floating around on the sandbar. Lunch was very light, which can be problematic when drinking, but otherwise was a great way to spend a half-day on the water!

Where do I start? Our original date looked a little rough for weather so we were able to reschedule two days later for no charge and without issue. There were only 12 people total for our trip and the vibes were immaculate!! They swim you drinks while floating in the ocean. The service was unreal. I would absolutely do this again!!

My boyfriend and I along with another couple had a great time! The transportation to/ from our hotel was on time and super easy. The boat was amazing, all of the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and caring especially when my friend was feeling sea sick. Drinks were delicious and we never had empty cups even in the water! We would definitely recommend this excursion!

Wonderful experience overall... very friendly staff... great catamaran ... ran into lovely weather and sailing experience... the sandbar was incredible...4 to 8 feet deep at places... food was decent... the tequila and rum punches were flowing nonstop... excellent experience

Great excursion. Jose, Martin and Ulysses provided excellent service. No need to bring beach towels. Not sure why the $15/person was included up front.

Thank you for your comment, the 15.00 usd is charged upon arrival at the Marina and the bracelet is placed at the reception so that when boarding this fee is covered which is independent of our prices, it is a fee of the National Park of Puerto Morelos. We hope you will visit us again soon.
