Very good food at all of our stops. We never would have found these local restaurants on our own. Our guide was very friendly and helpful

Sadly the street food consisted of 4 types of tacos, I’m certain there is much more to street food that that. Portions were good and flavourful, soft drink options were varied to. The most enjoyable was our third venue where we had a beef/goat broth and a filled taco to dip in to it. I wouldn’t recommend this as it was too repetitive.

Overall Okay, but Cautiously Recommend

The tacos were decent, but overall, the experience failed to impress me. Our tour guide, Jerry, lacked professionalism. Despite the description stating there would be five stops, he mentioned only four. When I inquired about the missing stop, he seemed confused and unprepared. Eventually, we reluctantly made a quick visit to the fifth place after I insisted on it. However, our driver parked the car while we waited inside, and Jerry hurriedly fetched us some churros. Unfortunately, the churros were underwhelming and seemed like an afterthought. I believe this tour could benefit from some improvements, and I intend this review to provide constructive feedback for the team. Our driver was friendly and fulfilled his duties effectively. However, if the overall quality remains the same, I would only recommend this tour to individuals who desire a glimpse of downtown but feel apprehensive about exploring it independently.

Late start but food was good

They send you confirmation a few days before stressing that you should be waiting outside 10mins before pickup scheduled time and that the bus can only wait 5mins for you so as not to through off the timing of event as well as other pick ups. Fine, we were there waiting up to 20mins past the time they give. Called the driver number which they provided, no answer. Called the office who indicated that they would try to reach the driver and get back to us. Driver eventually showed about 30mins past pickup time, no apologies given. Lila the tour guide was very pleasant and informative. She gave us the history of the individual tacos and explained how and when it's usually eaten etc. The tour desciption on Viator says that it's 5 stops however we only did 4. We got a good taste of the popular local tacos. Side note: If you a vegetarian/pescatarien, this might not be the best for you as my friend said only 2 of the 4 places were good for her. She had to have veggie/cheese quasadias at 2 places that did not offer fish/veggie taco options.

It is good to hear that Lila did provided a good explanation about our traditional food so you can share it with your friends back home. Unfortunately, the food this tour is based on is traditional food which, sometimes, does not include a vegetarian option at the restaurants, we are sorry for this inconvenient and will definitely look more into the traditions to find something that suits each special diet. Most of the times we can acommodate special diet menus when mentioned at the special requests upon booking. Good Tacos & Guides Late Night

Tacos and guides were great. We chose hotel pick up and we were picked up at 6:30 pm which made for a late night. Pick earlier time if you go. Did not get back until 10:00pm. Only made three taco stops. Not five. Did not stop at El Rincon de los Antojos or Parque de las Palapas

That was absolutely amazing experience from my pick up in the hotel and being fully staffed with authentic delicious food. Jerry made out trip even more pleasant telling some stories. I visited all these local smallish places where you can see only locals, means food is great. And it was, I Luis such a delicious drinks. I fell in love with seafood tacos totally. Definitely recommend

Not Good For Vegetarians

This tour was disappointing because although the website stated they could accommodate vegetarians, 2 out of the 4 restaurants we visited did not have a veggie option so I had just guacamole at the first restaurant. If they cannot accommodate, they should just state this up front and I could have avoided this tour. The food that I was able to eat was good and my friends enjoyed their food.

You're not paying for the food, you're paying for the experience, and it was well worth it. The food was great, I was so stuffed that by the last restaurant I had to give away my taco. Our guide was Laila and I believe our driver's name was Thomas, they were awesome hosts. Would totally recommend.

Good tour, but poor logistics

The tour itself was great- food was good, our guide and driver were great. But the tour was supposed to end at 9:30 and we didn’t get back to 11 PM, causing us to miss another event we had planned for the evening. Two of the travelers were staying outside of town and the other 5 of us were brought 50+ minutes out of the way to bring them home first, making our return trip an hour and a half long. We weren’t made aware of this ahead of time and if we had been I would have cancelled or rescheduled the tour. I’m not sure why those travelers weren’t either dropped off last or given alternate travel options. It was inconvenient and misleading and because of this I probably wouldn’t book with this company again since there are others that offer a similar experience.

THE BEST TOUR EVER. I’m booking this tour every time I visit Cancún. The tour guide is so knowledgeable, friendly, speaks great English, I loveeed her. She took us to the best places & ended at a small festival where you eat churros and can buy souvenirs. I had the best time thank you thank you thank you. Please book with them you will love it

Fun tour, amazing tacos

We had a great time with Miguel. Took us to places we would never know about as tourists. Each place was different and amazing. Some of the best tacos I've ever had. We came home completely stuffed. It was just my family with Miguel. You might think it would be weird to have a fifth wheel, but he was great. Very outgoing with very interesting stories about the places, his upbringing, and they places he's visited.

Our taco tour with Miguel was incredible and a highlight of our trip! He is an amazing, kind and knowledgeable guide. Didn’t feel like a tour as much as grabbing dinner with a friend. Throughout he shared different foods and information about his culture. He went the extra mile and even stopped to get us churros when we mentioned we really wanted some. We were really worried that coming to Cancun we wouldn’t be able to explore the local culture, but Miguel made that possible and gave us a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend booking this tour! Just make sure you wear stretchy pants, haha!

I strongly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover Mexico of the beaten path. I am a huge foodie and coming to Mexico before I would always try to find dishes that were more authentic, but staying on all inclusive resort that can be a challenge. I was super excited to finally be able to try some authentic street food and our experience ended up to be 100/100. Small family owned restaurants and bigger Mexico known taco chains you will have a taste of all of those things. Our tour guide Miguel was amazing too. Just such a nice person and answered all of our questions. Totally happy we did this!

Such an amazing experience!! Nassim was my tour guide and he was amazing. Well spoken, very knowledgeable, and he made sure I had a great experience. The food was AMAZING!!!! if you have the option for the strawberry/raisin tamale go for it. It sounds crazy but it sure was delicious. I would very much recommend this tour to anyone and if I ever go back to Cancun I will do it again and request Nassim.

Wow, AMAZING authentic food!! All 4 stops welcomed us & provided different tacos. By the end of the tour we were stuffed. Karla Cadenas, tour guide & Juan Carlos, bus driver were very friendly. We left the tour with our bellies full & 2 new friends. We took lots of photos with the chefs & staff. We had a great time 🙌
