Safe solo travel

I felt safe and taken care of right off the hop. Greeted and acknowledged quickly and efficiently. I booked a single occupancy van and they gave me my own car. A great and safe experience.

Solid Transportation Service

The service was great. When I arrived at the Cancún airport, Roger messaged me to let me know he was waiting. It was smooth sailing from there. The only hiccup was - I misunderstood their hours of operation and booked my return trip outside of their normal servicing hours of 8am - 6pm. They still arranged a private car for me for my early flight home, but it came with an extra charge. My only feedback would be to make it clear that an extra charge is required for trips outside their operating hours. Other than that, they were very reliable, prompt, and professional and had great communication. I would use them again.

Better but Beware

It was better than trying to navigate through all the drivers at the airport vying to get our business BUT we paid for round trip shuttle and the Yamevi Travel staff made it seem like another family was not ready/might take another hour before we leave the airport just to get us to upgrade to private transport for an additional cost. A ploy to get more money because a gentleman showed up a few minutes after us and the staff had him to wait also. The driver we had was young and not very knowledgeable about the area when we asked questions, but he was pleasant. I’m thinking they might try to get more money for our return trip as well and we’ll have to pay so we don’t miss our flight.

Our flight was late and we had no way to communicate with the shuttle service. When we finally got our baggage and headed out we were told we were too late. They did nothing to help us secure passage to the hotel and we had to pay $85 US for a taxi.

I was told for my return ride I had to pay $20 extra because I had to leave the hotel at 7 and they only operate 8 am to 6 pm. And to pay the driver cash. When we got to the airport the driver said it was $30 . Their office was closed

I booked my roundtrip airport transfer through Viator. I ended up having to pay extra to Yamevi for a private transfer because my hotel was not in the route. All in all, the experience was excellent. The Yamevi staff and drivers were professional, courteous, and prompt. I would absolutely use their services again.

When they picked us up from the airport they were on time and messaged me using Whatsapp so I didn’t have to use text message and pay extra outside of my home country. They had a nice big van that could easily fit 8 people and it was clean and air conditioned. The driver didn’t speak much English but that was okay, and he played good music. On the way back to the airport the driver came up to the hotel in an unmarked vehicle which was definitely suspicious and strange considering when we were picked up the van had the name of the company on it. We drove to different parts of the city before picking up 2 more people. So the car that fits 5 people was very tight for the hour drive to the airport with all seats full and the luggage in the car. I guess their van broke down right before they were supposed to come pick us up. Overall I would use them again, just make sure you do your part to get the service you paid for.
